PAWS Volunteers

Sheldon High School is in need of volunteers to assist with PAWS for the Fall 2018 session. PAWS stands for Parents Assisting With Students (though we substitute "parents" with community members whenever we can).

This unique program is about exploring post-secondary education and career options in a small group interviewing format with our Sheldon High School sophomore students. It allows responsible and supportive adults who have been in the workforce to communicate with students the multiple options they have after graduation. The program also encourages students to utilize the many resources located at the school's Career/Counseling Center, explore 2-year/4-year/technical or vocational school options, as well as review support services that will lead to a more successful academic path at Sheldon and beyond.

Training is provided for volunteers prior to each session. Below is the schedule for PAWS and we are hoping you can help us with covering a full day(s).

The times that volunteers are needed can be for the whole day (7:45am-3:07pm) or for a period(s) indicated. Refreshments and lunch provided:

Thanks in advance!
