About Sheldon High School Academies & Pathways 

Sheldon High School offers four Academy/Pathways Programs in which students may become involved. These programs are built upon inter-disciplinary curriculum in a focused job career area. The purpose of these programs are to help students excel through rigorous courses and introduce them to career options and paths. Academy/Pathway programs are structured so that participating students explore areas of study in a deeper way while developing their talents and skills as they explore a career choice and the world of work. Sheldon High School sponsors six Programs : Agriculture, ARTSwork, Biotech, Building Trades and Engineering, Equitas (government and public service) and Software System Development. 


**You can only apply/be apart of ONE program**

Acceptance to one of these programs, ARTSwork, Biotech, Building Trades and Engineering, EQUITAS, involves an application process, including both the submission of an online application and interview. Here are some important things to know:

  • The application window has closed. Late applications will be accepted via interest and program space. Please contact Ms. Lucas, Academies Secretary, at with application questions.
Acceptance to Agriculture involves an application process. Here are some important things to know:
  • Applications from any grade level will be accepted.

Acceptance to the Software System Development does not involve an application process. Please contact Pathway adviser, Linda Dewberry ( for more information.
