Academies

Sheldon High School offers four Academy Programs in which students may become involved. Academies are built upon inter-disciplinary curriculum in a focused job career area. The purpose of the Academies is to help students excel through rigorous courses and introduce them to career options and paths. Academy Programs are structured so that participating students explore areas of study in a deeper way while developing their talents and skills as they explore a career choice and the world of work. Sheldon High School sponsors four Academy Programs : ARTSwork, Biotech, Building Trades and Engineering, and Equitas (government and public service). Acceptance to one of these programs involves an application process, including both the submission of a written application and an on-site interview. Current 8th and 9th grade students may apply. Academy applications for the 2020-2021 school year were due Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019.

PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL BE CONSIDERED BASED ON ACADEMY SPACE AVAILABILITY.
