TEAM Husky

Together Everyone Achieves More

TEAM Husky is a Freshman student support program focused on successful transitioning from middle school to high school, making positive connections to staff and other students on campus, and creating meaningful opportunities for student achievement.

This mentoring program involves all freshmen.  Every teacher, counselor, librarian, and vice principal is assigned 5-6 freshmen students and 1 or 2 student mentors (junior or senior).  Student Mentors and Staff Mentors meet with their freshmen on scheduled late start Wednesdays for 30 minutes.  The primary function of TEAM Husky is to create positive connections.  Research shows that creating positive, meaningful relationships when transitioning from middle school to high school has a positive impact on attendance and grades.
