Husky Connection is a student support program focused on the successful transitioning from middle school to high school through the building of relationships. While this year looks different because we’re starting from home, we still want our freshmen to feel connected and cared for. That is why an upperclassmen mentor assigned to a small cohort of freshmen will check in each week.
On Monday mornings, the mentor will send a Synergy email with a check-in form. This will help the mentors get to know their students and make sure they can support them. The form won't take long to complete, so please make sure it's submitted by 3:15 pm (official end of the school day).
On Wednesday afternoons, the mentor will be sending your student a follow-up email based upon their responses from Monday.
We know freshman year can be scary, and it’s probably even more so this year as we start with distance learning; however, we are here to support our new students. We look forward to getting to know our freshmen better through these weekly check-ins.
