Parents Resources

Parents are an integral part of helping and supporting the success of all students at Sheldon High School. Our parent volunteers are recruited and organized by our Parent Coordinators to participate in numerous activities that support the academic, social and career development of our students. Examples include: Freshmen Parent Orientation to assist families with the transition to high school; Hot August Days where parents and students receive schedules and have access to staff to answer questions before the school year commences; Sheldon Parent Advisory Committee (SPAC) meetings in which parents have an opportunity to give input regarding issues on campus and to receive information about volunteer opportunities; Parents Assisting with Students (PAWS), a mentoring/career exploration program in which community members offer guidance to students regarding career pathways; and as chaperones at a wide variety of student activities.
